Eligibility Criteria

There are 3 criteria of Eligibility  Which you Need to qualify to join the India air Force:- Age Limit, Education qualification & Medical Standard. You need to qualify the following eligibility criteria standard to appear for this Examination. Read the below mention Eligibility criteria for Appear in Indian Air Force Group Y Exam.

Age Limit

Maximum Age - 21 Years

(you should be born between 14th July 1998- 26th June 2002 (both date Inclusive) are only eligible to apply

Education Qualification

Group Y (Except Automobile Technician, GTI, IAF (P), IAF(S) and Musician) Trades

You must have passed 10+2  examination with any stream/subjects, with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English.

Group Y Medical Assistant Trade

You must have passed 10+2 exam with Physics, Chemistry, Biology & English, with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English.

Medical Standard

General Medical Standards for both Group X (Except Education Instructor trade) and Group Y (Except Automobile Technician, GTI, IAF(P), IAF(S) and Musician) Trades is According to the Indian Air Force Standards.

Exam Pattern & Selection Process

The Selection Process for Air Force Group Y consists for 3 stages as mention below:-

Online Written Exam

Both Group X & Group Y English, Physics, Math's Reasoning & General Awareness 85 minutes

Physical Efficiency Test

  • 1.6 Km run to be completed in 6.5 minutes
  • 10 Pushups
  • 10 Sit-ups
  • 20 Squats
