ESIC stands for Employee State Insurance Corporation. ESIC has released the Notification for the recruitment of SSO Social Security Officer. As per the Notification, there are 536 numbers of vacancies to be filled for this post. There are 3 Phase fo Selection Process.

Exam Pattern & Selection Process

The Selection Process for ESIC Consists of 3 Stages but prior to that you will be shortlisted on the basis of your Education Qualification:-

  1. Prelims Examination
  2. Mains Examination
  3. Computer Skill & Descriptive test

Prelims Examination

  • Phase I is qualifying in nature and ESIC will not reckon marks for final merit.
  • For each wrong answer, there will be a negative marking of one-fourth of the mark assigned to that question.
  • The candidates will be shortlisted for Phase-II in the ratio of 1:10 i.e. about 10 times the number of vacancies in each category on the basis of their performance in Phase – I.
  • If the examination is held in more than one session, the scores across various sessions will be equated following standard practice to adjust for slight differences in the difficulty level of different test batteries used across sessions

  • The marks obtained in Phase – II will be considered for final selection.

  • Moreover, The candidates will be shortlisted for Phase-III in the ratio of 1:5 i.e. about 5 times the number of vacancies in each category on the basis of their performance in Phase – II.

 

Computer Skill Test and Descriptive Test

Computer Skill Test (CST) – 50 Marks – 30 Minutes Duration

Which consist of:-

Preparation of 02 Power Points Slides – 10 Marks

Typing matter on MS Word with formatting – 20 Marks

Preparation of Table on MS Excel with use of formulae – 20 Marks

Descriptive Test

Letter / Essay writing - 50 Marks - 30 minutes

Application Fee

GEN/OBC – Rs. 500/-

Salary

Social Security Officer/ Manager Gr-II/Superintendent – Level 7 of Pay Matrix with Entry Pay of Rs 44900/-

Preparation Tips

Understand the Exam Pattern and the syllabus thoroughly.
Once you know what subjects/sections the exam will consist of, you can accordingly plan your study schedule.
 
Prepare for all the Sections with Equal Importance.
You should give equal importance to each & every section and try to work on the topics which are frequently asked. Also, you need to work on your weak areas and improve them accordingly.
 
Take a look at the Model exam papers and Expected cutoffs.
Candidate should go through the previous years cutoffs & question papers. Make sure you analyze the ESIC Cut offs closely before sitting for the exam.
