Eligibility Criteria

Age Limit (As on 1st December 2018)

Minimum Age:- 21 Years

Maximum Age:- 30 Years

Note:- candidate must have been born not earlier than 2nd Dec-1988 and not later than 1st Dec-1997 (both dates inclusive)

Age Relaxation

SC/ST:- 5 Years

OBC (Non - creamy layer):- 3 Years

Persons with Benchmark Disabilities as defined under “The Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016”:- 10 Years

Ex-servicemen including Commissioned Officers and ECOs/SSCOs who have rendered at least five years Military Service as on 01.12.2018 and have been released; (a) on completion of  assignment (including those whose assignment is due to be completed within one year from 01.12.2018) otherwise than by  way of dismissal or discharge on account of misconduct or inefficiency; or (b) on account of physical disability attributable to Military Service; or (c) on invalidment. The ECOs/SSCOs who have completed an initial period of assignment of five years of Military Service as on 01.12.2018 and whose assignment has been extended beyond five years and in whose case the Ministry of Defence issues a certificate that they can apply for civil employment and that they will be released on three months’ notice on selection from the date of receipt of offer of appointment.:- 5 Years

Defence service personnel disabled in operation during the hostilities with any foreign country or in a disturbed area and released as consequence thereof:- 3 Years

Persons ordinarily domiciled in the State of Jammu & Kashmir during the period 1.1.1980 to 31.12.1989 :- 5 Years

Existing Confirmed Employees of Public Sector General Insurance Companies (including GIC & Agriculture Insurance Company of India Ltd.):- 8 Years
 
Educational Qualification

You must possess Graduation/Post Graduation/Equivalent Qualification in any discipline from a recognized University with minimum 60% marks for General candidates and at least 55% marks for SC/ST/PWD candidates.
Legal
You must have a Graduate Degree/Post Graduate Degree in Law with a minimum of 60% for General and 55% for SC/ST/PWD from a recognized University.
You must have a Chartered Accountant (ICAI)/Cost and Management Accountant/MBA or PGDM Finance with Graduation/Post Graduation in any discipline with minimum 60% (55% for SC/ST/PWD).

Exam Pattern & Selection Process

The Selection process for NIACL AO 2018 Will is same as the Exam pattern was there in 2016. The Selection process for NIACL AO Consists of 3 stages aS mention below:-

  1. Preliminary Examination 
  2. Mains Examination
  3. Descriptive Test/ Personal Interview

Preliminary Examination

The Preliminary Examination will be of Objective Type. it will hold 100 Marks. The test would be of 1-hour duration Consisting of 3 sections with Sectional Timing of 20 minutes each as follows:-

  • You have to secure passing marks section-wise.
  • Based on these marks, you will be shortlisted for the mains exam.
  • For each wrong answer, you will lose 0.25 of the marks assigned to that question.
  • However, if you leave a question blank, there will be no penalty for that question.

Mains Examinations

Mains examinations consist of  Objective test for 200 Marks and descriptive test of 30 Marks. both these test are online and you need to answer the descriptive section by typing on the Computer. Make sure you practice well on the computer while preparing for this Exam because the descriptive test will be administered immediately after completion of the objective test.

  1. Descriptive Test is qualifying in nature. Your marks in the descriptive test will not be counted towards shortlisting for an interview or final selection.
  2. Your descriptive test will be evaluated only if you cross a certain sectional & overall cut-off (to be decided by NIACL later).
  3. Obtaining a minimum score (cut-off) overall and for each section of the objective test separately, will ensure your selection for the Interview round.
  4. The company will decide the section-wise as well as the total cut-off for qualifying for Descriptive test evaluation/Interview.
  5. For each wrong answer, you will lose 0.25 of the marks assigned to that question.
  6. However, if you leave a question blank, there will be no penalty for that question.

Interview

Candidates who have been shortlisted at the end of Phase-II will subsequently be called for an Interview to be conducted by the Company. Interview will be conducted at select centres. The weightage (ratio) of online Examination and Interview will be 80:20 respectively. 
 
Final Selection
Final selection would be based on consolidated marks of main examination (objective test) & Interview. The final merit list shall be prepared in descending order of the consolidated marks secured by the candidates. Candidates who fall within the number of vacancies in the merit list shall be considered for appointment.
