Educational Qualification

Junior Translator in Central Secretariat Official Language Service (CSOLS), Junior Translator in M/o Railways (Railway Board), Junior Translator in Armed Forces Headquarters (AFHQ) & Junior Translator/Junior Hindi Translator in subordinate offices who have adopted Model RRs of DoP&T for JT/JHT
 
  • Master’s degree of a recognized University in Hindi with English as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of examination at the degree level; OR
  • Master’s degree of a recognized University in English with Hindi as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of examination at the degree level; OR
  • Master’s degree of a recognized University in any subject other than Hindi or English, with Hindi medium and English as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of a examination at the degree level; OR
  • Master’s degree of a recognized University in any subject other than Hindi or English, with English medium and Hindi as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of examination at the degree level; OR
  • Master’s Degree of a recognized University in any subject other than Hindi or English, with Hindi and English as compulsory or elective subjects or either of the two as a medium of examination and the other as a compulsory or elective subject at degree level AND
  • Recognized Diploma or Certificate course in translation from Hindi to English & vice versa or two years’ experience of translation work from Hindi to English and vice versa in Central or State Government Office, including Government of India Undertaking.
Senior Hindi Translator in various Central Government Ministries/ Departments/Offices
 
  • Master’s degree of a recognized University in Hindi with English as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of examination at the degree level; OR
  • Master’s degree of a recognized University in English with Hindi as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of examination at the degree level; OR
  • Master’s degree of a recognized University in any subject other than Hindi or English, with Hindi medium and English as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of a examination at the degree level; OR
  • Master’s degree of a recognized University in any subject other than Hindi or English, with English medium and Hindi as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of examination at the degree level; OR 
  • Master’s Degree of a recognized University in any subject other than Hindi or English, with Hindi and English as compulsory or elective subjects or either of the two as a medium of examination and the other as a compulsory or elective subject at degree level AND 
  • Recognized Diploma or Certificate course in translation from Hindi to English & vice versa or three years’ experience of translation work from Hindi to English and vice versa in Central or State Government Office, including Government of India Undertaking.
Junior Translator/Junior Hindi Translator in subordinate offices who have not yet adopted Model RRs of DoP&T for JT/JHT
 
  • Master’s degree of a recognized University in Hindi or English with English or Hindi as a compulsory or elective subject at degree level, OR
  • Bachelor’s degree with Hindi and English as main subjects (which includes the term compulsory and elective)
Hindi Pradhyapak in Central Hindi Training Institute (CHTI)
 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Hindi with English as one of the subject at degree level either as compulsory or optional from a recognized University or Institute plus Master’s degree in any subject from a recognized University or Institute plus Bachelor of Education from a recognized University/Institute.OR
  • Bachelor’s degree in any subject from a recognized University or Institute plus Master’s degree in Hindi with English as one of the subjects at degree level either as compulsory or optional from a recognized University or Institute plus Bachelor of Education from a recognized University/Institute.
·Desirable: Two years experience of teaching Hindi at Senior Secondary level under Central or State Governments or recognized educational Institution
 

Exam Pattern & Selection Process

The Selection process of SSC JHT Consists of 3 stages:-

  1. Paper-I
  2. Paper-II
  3. Document Verification
  • There is not any information of any Interview or Typing Test is mentioned in the Notification.
  • Merely fulfilling the eligibility standards will not help in the appointment.
  • Admit Cards for the Examinations will be published on Commission's website.
  • After selection through the exam, you will have to go through 2 years of probation period.

Paper-I

This exam will be a Computer Based Test  (Objective Type)  200 Question will be asked  which consist of 200 marks within the Duration of 2 Hours (2 hours 40 Minutes for VH/OH)

Paper-II

Paper -II Consists of 200 Mark and will be pen and Computer Based Test

  • Paper 1 will be qualifying in nature.
  • Paper 2 will be evaluated only after attaining minimum qualifying marks in Paper 1.
  • Negative marking of 0.25 marks is applicable for Paper 1.
  • SSC will be deciding the qualifying marks of Paper 1 and 2

Application Process

  • You need to register yourself in SSC Official Website.
  • After Registration, Note Down the Registration ID and Password.
  • Using the new registration ID and PAssword  Login in.
  • Click on apply now.
  • Fill the Application form Carefully.
  • Upload your Scanned Photograph and signature.
  • Submit the Application Form.
  • Pay the Application Fee
  • Take the print out of the Application form for future reference.

Admit Cards

SSC JHT 2018 Admit Cards will be issued few days before the exam. The link to download the SSC Admit Card will be activated on the official website where you can download your SSC Call Letters by logging in with your registration ID & password. 

Result

SSC JHT Paper I is going to take place on 12th January 2018! Once the exam takes place across all regions of SSC, the result for JHT exam will be declared in the subsequent months. Follow the steps to know how to check your SSC JHT 2018 result:-

  • Login into the Official Website
  • Go to  Result.
  • Now check for SSC JHT  2018 result.
  • Fill the required details such Registration number and date of birth.
  • Click on submit.
  • Your result will appear on the Screen
  • Check your Result status Corresponding to roll number and Name.
