Introduction

SSC or Staff Selection Commission conducts the SSC MTS or Multi Tasking Staff is one of the most important parts of the functioning of Bureaucracy. Once you qualify in all the Selection stages, you will be hired as CCAS. CCAS stands for Central Civil Accounts Service, which means you become Group C Employee. This year the SSC MTS exam is taking trough online Mode.

Eligibility Criteria

There are 3 criteria on which your eligibility is a judge for SSC MTS. you need to qualify this eligibility standard to apply for this Exam. the categories As mention below:-

Age Limit (as on 1st August 2017)

Minimum Age- 18 Years
Maximum Age- 25 years

Age Relaxation (as on 1st August 2017)

SC/ST- 5 Years
OBC- 3 Years
PH+Cerebral Palsy- 10 Years
PH+OBC+Cerebral Palsy- 13 Years
PH+SC/ST+Cerebral Palsy- 15 Years

Educational Qualification

The Candidate Must has passed Matriculation  or Equivalent from Recognized board

The Selection Process for SSC MTS consists of 2 Stages as mention below:-

  2. Descriptive Paper

  • The SSC MTS Exam will now be conducted in Online Mode.
  • Due to this change in the mode of examination, the Exam Pattern has had a few tweaks. 
  • Earlier the MTS Exam was conducted for 2 hours & 150 questions were asked. 
  • Now, the SSC MTS Online Exam will be conducted for 1.5 hours & a total of 100 questions will be asked. 
  • There will be negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.

Descriptive Paper

Short Essay/ letter in English or in any language included in 8th Schedule of Constitution 50 30 minutes
  • You will be asked a Short Essay or Letter in English (or in any one of the Official 22 languages of your choice.)
  • The Letter/Essay will be of 50 marks & you have to finish the Descriptive Paper in 30 mins.

Time Management plays an important role in obtaining a higher score in the SSC MTS Exam. This new 100 marks pattern with 90 minutes gives you just 0.9 minutes per question. So you have to plan a strategy that helps you solve maximum questions in a given time frame.

  • General Awareness section of SSC MTS exam will test your knowledge of current events, general awareness of the environment around you, your everyday observation skills and basic science.
  • Numerical Aptitude or Quant section of SSC MTS exam will test your knowledge of Simple Maths and Numerical aptitude that we use in day to day life.
  • Logical reasoning section of SSC MTS exam will test your knowledge in Reasoning, Coding-Decoding, Venn diagrams, etc.
  • English Language Exam in SSC MTS will test your basic Knowledge of English Language

Application Process

  • Go to the Official SSC website and Click on apply and then click on Apply link
  • Click on Registration 
  • Fill your personal details such as Name, Email, DOB Etc.
  • Moreover, also fill the letters shown the gender tab and enter.
  • Fill your contact Details and personal Details very carefully in the next step.
  • Fill the application Carefully as you will not be able to make any changes in the Application again.
  • thereafter, submit your Details and note down your registration number and password for future reference.
  • Upload your Photograph and signature carefully. 
  • Fill the final Form and pay the Application Fee
